Election Results

11.25.32pm BST (GMT +0100) Thu 1st May 2008

The local elections are over for another year! But if you want to know the results for Cherwell District Council, you will have to wait.

This is not some perverse power game on our part but due to the count being held on Friday 2nd May.

Counting will start at 09:00 and the Cherwell District Council seats will be counted in alphabetical order. There will then be a break, expected around lunch time. Then the County Council by-election for the division of Kidlington and Yarnton will be counted along with the Parish and Town Council elections, again in alphabetical order. This will include the Banbury Town Council elections and the Bicester Town Council by-elections.

This website will be updated with the results as soon as possible, but it will not probably happen until Friday evening.

We recommend checking the Cherwell District Council website, www.cherwell-dc.gov.uk for the latest updates during the afternoon.
